Ceiling hoods
Ceiling hoods are true all-rounders in the kitchen. On the one hand, they can be installed close to walls as alternatives to wall hoods, and on the other hand, they can be installed above kitchen islands as alternatives to island hoods.

Ceiling hoods are now used as extractor hoods not only in large kitchens in restaurants or canteens, but also in many private households. These are usually installed in suspended ceilings or on drywall ceilings. One of the best selling points for ceiling hoods is that they can either be statically screwed to the ceiling or can be raised and lowered using a lift. This height adjustability allows chefs of all heights to easily cook, fry and bake in the same kitchen.

Advantages of ceiling hoods
The dimensions of a ceiling hood have the advantage, among other things, that the vapor, steam and oil clouds that other extractor hoods might pull towards the kitchen ceiling and cupboards are captured and sucked out. A ceiling hood can therefore prevent water damage to the upper kitchen equipment. Unlike classic wall hoods or modern island hoods, the ventilation motor is further away from the cook's hearing field. A ceiling hood is therefore usually perceived as being quieter.

A plus point that further underlines the variability of ceiling hoods is that many of them can be used as both exhaust and recirculating extractor hoods. You can switch here by simply pressing a control button. The good thing about this function is that you can completely adapt the ceiling hood to changing needs or weather conditions. In terms of energy technology, for example, better efficiency is achieved when heating within your own four walls.

Things to note about ceiling hoods
In addition to the plus points, there are also a few points about the ceiling hood that you should consider before purchasing. Most ceiling hoods require a remote control to control them. Normal-sized people need a ladder for ceiling hoods to carry out cleaning work or to change filters. It can happen that with ceiling hoods, less natural light falls on the cooking area. So additional light is an advantage.
