extractor hoods
Extractor hoods are mandatory in most public buildings such as canteens, hotel kitchens or restaurants. In private households, extractor hoods can help to keep the indoor climate in balance. Extractor hoods are also a blessing when it comes to preventing mold growth. The exhaust technology of extractor hoods has continued to develop over the years - as has the variety of materials from which they are made.

Recirculation and exhaust air extractor hoods
A basic distinction is made between recirculating air and exhaust air extractors. Both have advantages and disadvantages. The advantages of a circulating air extractor hood are that installing the extractor hood is relatively easy, that no structural changes have to be made and that the energy loss is close to zero. The disadvantages of circulating air extractors are that the moisture remains in the room and you have to ventilate additionally. The activated carbon filter must be cleaned more frequently than the exhaust filter. Recirculating air extractors are usually a little louder when in operation than the versions with exhaust air.

The exhaust extractor hoods offer a higher air delivery volume compared to the recirculating air models. The moisture from cooking is removed from the building. An external fan can make the already quieter extractor fan even quieter. What can be seen as a disadvantage is that the installation involves structural measures. This means that the installation costs are higher compared to the recirculated air model. If you already have this breakthrough, it can be used cost-effectively for a new circulating air extractor hood.
